Closing: Bears rule KSE for third consecutive day as market sheds 131pts more

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index lost 130.55 points or 0.40 percent to reach 32599.00 points and volume of 84,547,700 shares on Wednesday.

In midday trading,  stock exchange witnessed fluctuation in trading, but remained in red zone as KSE-100 index shed 91.19 points to reach 32638.36 level.

In early trading, the KSE remained in bearish trend as 100-index fell 0.41 per cent, shedding 134 points to plunge to 32595.52 points.

On Tuesday, the KSE lost 156.51 points or 0.48 percent to reach 32729.55 points with the volume of 58,494,160 shares.

Total volume traded in the market was 135,621,340 shares with 317 total traded companies out of which 130 were up 158 were down and 29 were unchanged.

Fertilizer was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 35,949,800 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 10,970,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Engro Fert. with a volume of 12,560,500 and price per share of 84.95 (0.63), K-Electric Ltd.with a volume 7,971,000 of price per share of 7.31 (0.01), Pak Elektron with a volume 3,982,000 of price per share of 61.72 (0.14).

The top three advancers were Indus Dyeing with price per share 840.00 (37.08), Sanofi-AventisXD with price per share of 648.99 (18.99) and MithchellsFruit share of 445.00 (14.00).

The top three decliners were Service Island Textile with price per share of 699.90 (-34.10), Indus Motor CoXD with price per share of 1119.92 (-13.11) and Shifa Int.Hosp per share of 252.62 (-12.38).

High and Low were 32729.55 and 32569.38   respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 84,547,700 shares.
