Closing: KSE extends further gains with 208pts, up 0.61% to touch all time high level

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 208.20 points or 0.61 percent to reach 34329.50 points and volume of 241,031,780 shares on Wednesday.

Extending the upward trend from early trading on Wednesday, the benchmark KSE-100 index reached 34307.53 points till the midday as compared to 34275.95 points earlier.

The KSE 100 index advanced 186.23 points or 0.55 percent perhaps due to slight improvement in the situation of petrol supply in the country and the expected rate cut by the State Bank in a couple of days.

High and Low were 34398.17 and 34121.30respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 241,031,780 shares.

Total volume traded in the market was 109,205,140 and in terms of value it was 9,314,951,382. The positive change of 186.23 points led high and low to 34352.79 and 34121.30 respectively.
