Closing: KSE extends gains with 54pts or 0.16% more  to end in green zone

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark 100-index gained 53.56 points or 0.16 percent to reach 34323.84  points and volume of 200,779,840 shares on Wednesday.

Earlier, bullish trend continued as Karachi Stock Exchange benchmark KSE-100 index added another 260.17 points to reach 34530.45 points level.

On Tuesday, the KSE gained 119.17 points or 0.35 percent to reach 34270.28 points. Total volume traded in the market was 403,610,860 shares with 369 total traded companies out of which 173 were up 168 were down and 28 were unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 332,511,440 shares with 366 total traded companies out of which 171 were up 170 were down and 25 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 58,249,500 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 49,003,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Byco Petroleum with a volume of 25,120,500 and price per share of 15.02 (1.00), P.T.C.L.with a volume 21,785,000 of price per share of 21.26 (0.52), Pak Int.Bulk with a volume 19,609,500 of price per share of 37.13 (1.61).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pak with price per share 10200.00 (180.00), Unilever Foods with price per share of 8100.00 (129.50) and Packages Ltd. share of 615.11 (29.11).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 8800.00 (-125.00), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 883.09 (-33.86) and Shezan Inter. per share of 875.00 (-25.00).

High and low were 34497.56 and 34151.11 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 200,779,840 shares.
