LAHORE: CloudClinik EMR, a Lahore based IT company has announced a new agreement with Ooredoo to develop Qatar’s first cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management system. As part of the new agreement, Ooredoo and CloudClinik will provide the private healthcare sector in Qatar with a new service to manage its patients’ clinical information in an efficient way. Hosted in one of Ooredoo’s high-tech Qatar Data Centres, the new service will use a dedicated connection, enabling the most secure service for a patient’s private information, according to a statement.

CloudClinik is a cloud-based EMR and practice management solution for doctors, clinics and healthcare facilities. Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaissi, CEO of Ooredoo Global Services, said “A service such as this will literally save lives across Qatar and help our country become a leader in smart healthcare facilities. We’re proud to sign with CloudClinik to enable this service and can’t wait to see the effects it has. 2015 will see Ooredoo push for bigger and faster services with a focus on business and smart living products to help push Qatar into a knowledge-based economy.”
