CNW Global Trade, Smeda going to organize events on CPEC

LAHORE: CNW Global Trade and Transport, in association with Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) as Co-Organizer are going to organize a series of events on CPEC.

First event out of 05 will be held on November 19, 2016 at Faletti’s Hotel Lahore. Other expected events are going to be held at Karachi, Gwadar, Kashgar – China and Islamabad, Gwadar and Kashgar – China are the orientation tours which will be organized by Road, and details will be available soon.

The event will provide advantages of high-level gathering on business, trade and economic development driven by the growth in consumer markets and supply chains. The event will cover various subjects, including status of CPEC till October 2016, opportunities, customs system and TIR/CMR. Topics include bilateral initiatives in the region to further integrate supply chains in Asia and regional strategies to cultivate cross-border ties and bi-national economic development.

All SMEs, industries, freight forwarders, customs clearing companies and truck companies are invited to attend the workshop.

This event will illuminate that how business leaders from a diverse group of companies select locations for investment and market development. It will link businesses, researchers and innovators on both sides of border regions; enable communities to identify potential organizations to partner with to advance regional cluster initiatives, besides assisting stakeholders, particularly those in cross-border regions, in developing successful regional economic development strategies and support regionally vital businesses.

The aim of the event is to review activities related to interconnection of national stakeholders within the region and, from this analysis, to assess the possibilities for coordinating future actions. The intent is to leverage the work done and avoid future duplication of tasks, because we are trying to put the entire stakeholders together which undoubtedly will lead to greater benefits for all parties in the region.
