CHICAGO: The Colerain Chamber of Commerce is launching a new tradition this fall, recognizing business and community leaders at its inaugural Colerain Chamber Business Awards Dinner.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Wunderland Banquet Center, 7881 Colerain Ave. Special guests at the event will be Andrew Setters, a TV and radio reporter and native of Colerain Township, and Cincinnati Zoo vice president of facilities, planning and sustainability Mark Fisher.
Chamber President Debra Stonehill says it’s traditional for Chambers to have business recognition events.
“This is the first time for us to sponsor a business recognition dinner in Colerain,” she said. “I intend for this to be an annual event for the Colerain business community.”
In addition to the guest speaker, the dinner is an opportunity to recognize businesses and business leaders and community leaders for their accomplishments and contributions to the Colerain community.
Chamber members submitted nominations for Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, as well as a Rising Star Award for a business leader who is taking their business to the next level while demonstrating a commitment to people and the community; the Community Impact Award, which is given to a business or organization that provides a product or service which helps to enhance Colerain Township and/or the overall community. Other awards include the Beautification Award, given to a business or organization that improved the appearance and/or aesthetics of their facility or property in Colerain Township within the past 12 months and the Chamber Member of the Year, awarded to the business or individual who has given significant volunteer service to the Colerain Chamber of Commerce within the past 12 months, demonstrating dedication and commitment to the goals and future of the Chamber.
The winners will be selected from the field of finalists by the steering committee in charge of the event.
