Collector Adjudication Raja Tahir hears 3 cases

FAISALABAD: The Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed heard three different smuggling cases worth Rs15,025,808. These cases were forwarded by Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Mianwali, MCC Bond section, and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Faisalabad.

Sources told to Customs Today that the collector hears case against suspects involved in smuggling of used Toyota Land Cruiser V-8, Toyota Prado, and duty free input material.

As per details, Raja Tahir Majeed heard case of Muhammad Sarfraz who is involved in evading tax worth Rs4,000,000 as the accused has brought non duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser (Prado) into the country without paying customs duty.

This case was forwarded by Customs Intelligence and Investigation. Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed also heard case of M/s AMK Knitwear involving customs duty worth Rs 3431008. This case was forwarded by Model Customs Collectorate Bond branch.

The collector heard the cases of smuggled used Toyota Land Cruiser V-8 bearing registration no: BF-7520. The anti smuggling organization Mianwali filed cases involving duty taxes amounting to Rs7594800. Collector Raja Tahir Majeed has adjourned the cases until next hearing.
