Collector Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed issues show causes in seizure cases ‏

MULTAN: Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed issued show cause in four seizure cases of cigarette smuggling.

The cases were framed by Customs Intelligence and Investigation during anti-smuggling operations. The Customs Adjudication issued the first show cause in a seizure case of 408 cartons of imported cigarettes worth Rs 8.16 million along with vehicle bearing registration number TKJ-380.

The second seizure was formed  by Customs Intelligence by capturing 550 brands of cigarettes loaded on a truck bearing registration number TKS-267 worth Rs 11 million. The third show cause issued by Customs Adjudication was in 100 cartons of  various brands amounting to Rs 8.46 million and vehicle bearing registration number of TKC-771  during anti- smuggling operation.

The fourth show cause was issued in the seizure of 320 cartons of cigarettes worth Rs 8.2 million. The cigarettes were loaded on vehicle having registration number TKC 645 during action of Customs Intelligence and Investigation. The cigarettes and vehicles were seized from Dera Ghazi Khan by the Field Intelligence Unit (FIU).
