Collector Ahmad Reza for strengthening anti-smuggling drive

SIALKOT: Model Customs Collectorate Collector Ahmed Reza Khan has extended more facilities to the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) in shape of vehicles in order to curb smuggling effectively.

Sources said that the collector has directed the officials of anti-smuggling squad to take action against the miscreants without any discrimination. It was also directed to enhance the vigilance at roads to curtail the flow of smuggled items.

It may mention here that the Sialkot ASO confiscated smuggled cloth, mobile phones, tea, foreign currency, cigarettes, vehicles, Rani Juice, laptops, engines, air fresheners etc. worth Rs 50 million during last two months (March and April 2016).

ASO incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir and his team also nabbed various persons during the different raids.
