Collector Ahmed Reza urges officials, staff to perform duties, devotedly, honestly

SIALKOT: Collector Customs Ahmed Reza Khan has urged all additional collector, deputy collectors and assistant collectors to further improve their performance. He said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and customs higher authorities have already appreciated their performance.

Talking to Customs Today, Ahmed Reza said that all collectorates achieved their assigned revenue targets and surpassed the target. He said that all officials are performing their duties wholeheartedly at Customs collectorate while all honest officials were appointed at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL). He said that the revenue collection from SDPT, airport and GPO was much better during fiscal year 2015-16.

He said that customs department also instructed Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) to improve performance for curb smuggling. He said that the Customs department is facilitating passengers at airport whereas Customs officers are extending full support to passengers. He said that customs department is adopting effective strategy to control money laundering through airports while on the other hand the wrong consignments are decreasing day by day.

Collector Ahmed Reza said that he himself and other additional collector and deputy collector will pay surprise visits to Sialkot airport and dry port from next week.
