Collector Appraisement-East Ashhad Jawwad for speedy completion of pending cases

KARACHI: Collector of Customs Appraisement-East Ashhad Jawwad held a meeting of the officials of the Research and Development (R&D) Section at his office.

Additional collector, deputy collector, assistant collector and principal appraiser (PA) attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Collector Appraisement-East expressed concern over the slow speed and development of cases detected by the R&D Section.

The Collector Ashhad Jawwad stressed upon speedy completion of cases which are being placed in R&D section adding that the authorities concerned to ensure speedy completion of the tax evasion cases before the end of Fiscal Year2015-16.

The authorities concerned of R&D Section of Customs Appraisement East briefed the Collector about the working being continued in the R&D Section adding that the efforts are being made to scrutinize the tax evasion in the import data of the current fiscal year2015-16.

The authorities concerned of the R&D Section have also apprised the details of the tax evasion cases which are in final stage for completion and soon those cases would be presented before the Collector in the start of next week.

The Collector Appraisement (East) Ashhad Jawwad asked the authorities concerned to utilize all available resources for making tax evasion cases before the end of current FY2015-16.
