Collector Arslan meets RPO Wasal seeking assistance against smugglers

ISLAMABAD: On the directives of the Federal Board of Revenue, the Model Customs Collectorate has decided to take help of police and other law enforcement agencies in anti-smuggling drive.

Islamabad Customs Collector Dr. Arslan Subuctageen held a meeting with Rawalpindi Region Police Officer Wasal Fakhar and sought assistance against the smugglers. The RPO has assured full support of police to the Pakistan Customs.

The RPO has also nominated focal persons at all police stations and their contact numbers have also been given to the Customs officials for better coordination.

Collector Arslan also asked the RPO to direct the police officer for informing the customs officials if they caught any smuggler during road checking, as it will prove helpful for eliminating the smuggling. The police officials have been directed to play their role against the smuggling.
