Collector Asma Hameed issues SCN in impounded vehicle case

FAISALABAD: Customs Adjudication Collector Asma Hameed issues show cause notices to accused person allegedly involved in smuggling case of Corolla – X car.

As per the details, Faisalabad Customs Intelligence impounded Corolla-X Car bearing Registration No FR-9. Acting upon the said information the customs intelligence team established check-post near MM Road, Distrct Mianwali. During the chased of vehicles the driver escape from the spot taking advantages of the darkness. The customs intelligence officials impounded the vehicle and efforts were made to trace the location of the driver but they remained failed to find it.

The Customs Adjudication issued notices to accused person on the violation of Section 10-A. 89(1) and 156(1) of the Customs Act, 1969. However, the adjudication has directed to file their replies by given time, which is also last date of hearing.

Collector Asma Hameed while hearing cases of non-duty paid vehicle had issued notice to unclaimed. The culprits have been directed to file their replies in their respective cases in next month. The cases of vehicle might be decided in the next hearing.
