Collector Azmat Tahira forms committee to propose goods liable for destruction on World Customs Day

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) Collector Azmat Tahira has issued office order to constitute departmental committee to certify and propose the goods liable for destruction on upcoming World Customs Day to be held on January 26, 2021.

  1. Shafaat Ali Mirza, Assistant Collector (auction & destruction) will supervise compiling data of goods liable to destruction.
  2. Syed Sidra Munawar Kazmi, Assistant Collector (import examination) will supervise (verifying the goods liable to destruction keeping in view of Chapter-IX of CGO 12/2012 dated 15.6.2020 and count issues).
  3. Mian Javed Iqbal, Superintendent, member (Compilation of destruction data and completion of all necessary formalities in terms of Capter IX of CGO 12/2002 dated 15.6.2002 and count issues.
  4. Inaspectors Zulfiqar Ali and Irtaza Shahid will coordinate destruction committee.
  5. Inspector Muhammad Arshad, Sarfraz Shad, Jamshed Shaoukat, Nadeem Ahsan, Nadeem Iqbal Saleemi, Afzal Mehmood, Ghulam Sarwar Mehdi and Abdul Rauf Khan will responsible for preparation of examination/inspection, reports of goods liable to destruction annexed with photographs. The reports should be completed in all respects i.e. MAWB/HAWB numbers and date number of packages, weight, brand, origin and especially date of expiry on expired goods. Segegation and placing separate such consignments for destruction. Loading of consignments on vehicles for destruction.

List of goods liable to destruction shall be finalized by 30.12.2020. The Committee shall ensure that all goods liable to destruction lying at GPO, airport traffic and import/export sheds are included in the list after due scrutiny.
