Collector Basit Maqsood Abbasi forms special anti-smuggling squads against smuggling

KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Collector Basit Abbasi has directed formation of special mobile squads to conduct anti-smuggling operations round the clock. Additional Collector Amanullah Tareen has assigned two squads, Squad-1 and Squad-2, to be ready at Customs House.

The anti-smuggling operations across the country are being carried out under the guidance of COAS Asim Munir, who has ensured that Customs faces no pressure from any political quarters, and has the support of all security and enforcement agencies.

COAS Asim Munir has directed all relevant authorities to take stern actionagainst smuggling, money laundering, human smuggling and other illegal activities.
