Collector Customs Islamabad orders to reopen Iqbal Minhas promotion case

ISLAMABAD: Collector Customs Collectorate Islamabad Zeba Hai has decided to solve Iqbal Minhas’s case on merit, who was promoted on inspector rank through sports award, but after some time again demoted to the previous rank.

As per details Deputy Collector Headquarter Yawar Nawaz has been ordered to represent the file of Iqbal Minhas case again in the Collectorate and expect that Iqbal Minhas will again get inspector rank. Sources told that in a recent decision Collector Customs Zeba Hai has taken back inspector rank from all the officials, who were awarded this rank for their performance on different occasions by different officers.

The decision of demoting was taken on reports from other officials, who were not promoted and keeping that in view Customs Collector has taken the decision because this was affecting the performance of other officials.

Moreover Iqbal Minhas was awarded the inspector rank from Federal Board of Revenue, on this account Customs Collector has taken suo moto notice of Iqbal Minhas case.
