KHUZDAR: Under the supervision of Collector Imran Bokhari, Collectorate of Customs anti-smuggling squad led by Additional Collector Sajid Baloch made two huge seizures during wee hours on 29.9.2023 at Customs Check Post Khurkhera.
Sources told Customs Today that after receiving credible that huge quantity of Iranian origin diesel in LPG bowser on fake GD will be smuggled. He immediately constituted Customs ASO team under the supervision of Additional Collector Sajid Baloch.
During thorough checking at Customs Check Post Khurkhera, Customs ASO team recover around 50,000 liters of Iranian origin diesel. Customs team asked the driver of the vehicle to provide any lawful documents regarding transportation of diesel, he failed to provide any lawful documents and only show a fake Goods Declaration (GD).
The market value of seized Iranian diesel and vehicle is Rs29.4 million in international market while total value of the seized goods and vehicle Rs41.4 million
Sources told that during another operations Customs anti-smuggling squad intercepted a suspicious Mazda truck and recovered 4 tons of betel nuts which were tactfully concealed in apple crates.
Customs team arrested two persons and registered separate FIRs against them
