KHUZDAR: Under personal supervision of Collector Imran Bokhari, Collectorate of Customs Enforcement made utmost efforts in curbing menace of smuggling on the main RCD highway. The Collectorate has affected seizures worth Rs232.29 million in last one month which include, hashish, POL, betel nuts, NDP vehicles, essential commodities, cigarettes, edible items , skimmed milk etc.
Sources told Customs Today that on 16.10.2023, customs anti-smuggling squad deputed at Surab check post seized huge quantity of various Iranian products from various buses coming from Panjgur side which include 1450 cartons of hand creams, 200 bags of skimmed milk, 250 cartons of yeast, 200 cans of motor oil and 100 cartons of detergent powder.

It is worth mentioning here that the Collectorate is putting maximum efforts for the seizures of smuggled goods in the face of the current law and order situation especially in Khuzdar, Wadh, and Surab districts of Balochistan where even daily movement of people has been affected severely. However, the Collectorate is putting its utmost efforts into anti smuggling operations in the said areas to bring optimum results despite the shortage of staff and logistics.
