The value of the seized goods comes to be Rs21 million in the local market.

It is worth mentioning here that the Collectorate is putting maximum efforts for the seizures of smuggled goods in the face of the current law and order situation especially in Khuzdar, Wadh, and Surab districts of Balochistan where even daily movement of people has been affected severely. However, the Collectorate is putting its utmost efforts into anti smuggling operations in the said areas to bring optimum results despite the shortage of staff and logistics.

In the second instance, Customs staff of Khurkhera CP seized 3500 liters of diesel at Sassi Punnu area 35 km away from Sakraan valuing Rs2.5 million (vehicle + deisel).

It is pertinent to mention here that due to strict vigilance on main RCD road, smugglers are taking suspicious routes where there is low or no presence of LEAs, however, Customs anti-smuggling squad barricaded the route and seized Shahzore vehicle to show effective customs presence and deterrence in this treacherous mountaneous track.

The value of both seizures is around Rs23.5 million
