Collector Appraisement (West) departs to Islamabad for 2-day visit

KARACHI: The Collector of Model Customs Collectorate-MCC Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem is on 2-day visit to Islamabad.

The sources informed Customs Today that the Collector-MCC Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem was departed to Federal capital and will return to Karachi on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Collector-MCC Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem will attend meetings with the Chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa and other high-ups of Customs Department.

“The issues pertaining to the revenue collection, recovery status in adjudicated and court cases would come under discussion”, sources added.

The sources further said that the Collector-MCC Appraisement (West) Muhammad Saleem before departing to Islamabad has briefed the Chief Collector-Appraisement (South) Nasir Masroor Ahmed on revenue recovery.

They further said that the Collector-MCC Appraisement (West) would also informed the FBR authorities concerned about the shortage of manpower in the Collectorate and will give briefing to the Chairman FBR about the current status of revenue recovery.

It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Appraisement (West) was remain at the top among all three field formation Collectorates during nine months of the fiscal year 2014-15 and almost surpasses the revenue targets in all nine months.
