KARACHI: The Federal Board Revenue (FBR) has asked the Model Customs Collectorate Enforcement-South authorities to send last year’s data on anti-smuggling activities.
Sources said that Enforcement-South Chief Collector Muhammad Nazim Saleem has directed the authorities concerned to complete the said exercise as soon as possible, so that the available data could be sent to the FBR Headquarters.
The sources informed Customs Today that the Enforcement-South Collectorate has started compiling the anti-smuggling data of MCC Gwadar, MCC Quetta, MCC Hyderabad and MCC Preventive, Karachi.
They also said that the authorities were also compiling data regarding the revenue collected during the anti-smuggling activities, in which customs officials confiscated smuggled goods worth millions of rupees.
