Collector Peshawar chairs meeting with Chief Collector-North over 2nd quarter revenue target

ISLAMABAD: Collector of Model Customs Collectorate, Peshawar hold meeting with Chief Collector-North and analyze the revenue collection.

Customs sources told Customs Today that during the meeting Collector Qurban Ali told Chief Collector Tahira Habeeb that gold and currency worth approximately Rs370 million are pending at different for as the collector Peshawar advised to actively follow these cases to achieving upcoming 2nd quarter target of FY16-17.

Sources said that keeping in view the shortfall during last month of November FY16-17 the future strategy for achieving the upcoming target and other issue was discussed. During the meeting discussed to accelerate efforts to cover revenue stuck up in recovery, litigation cases and other issues.

Collector discussed with Chief Collector in order to maximize the revenue collection, speedy clearance at Dry port, Torkham and Bonds, sources added that the collector advised to ensure speedy and safe clearance of the cargos reroute to Peshawar dry port as well as from Torkham and Bond.

The collector told chief collector the issues regarding WeBOC coverage of its exports through customs station Torkham as R&A is in process of developing, adding that Chief Collector advise that actively follow this issue with directorate of reforms and automation Karachi.
