Collector Port Qasim  Mukarram Jah holds meeting with terminal operators

KARACHI: Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Collector Mukarram Jah Ansari reportedly held a meeting on Friday to discuss issues regarding the clearance of imported consignments with operators of the Qasim International Containers Terminal (QICT).

The terminal operators informed the collector that skilled and competent labour has been deployed at the QICT, while the Customs authorities were also cooperating with the officials of the terminal.

Collector Mukarram Jah Ansari asked the operators about the space and services being provided by the terminal operators for off-loading the imported consignments arriving from different countries. The terminal operators informed the collector that the examination area was being expanded to facilitate the clearance process and eliminating any sort of delay in this regard, keeping in view the increased number of consignments arriving in the country.

Port Qasim Collector Mukarram Jah Ansari expressed satisfaction over the performance and services being provided by the authorities concerns at the Qasim International Containers Terminal.
