Collector Port Qasim Mukarram Jah reviews revenue collection measures

KARACHI: Collector of Customs Port Muhammad Bin Qasim Mukarram Jah has stressed the need for steps to ensure the achievement of revenue target by the end of first quarters of the fiscal year 2016-17.

Addressing a meeting, which was attended by additional collectors, deputy collectors and assistant collectors, he said that an effective strategy should be adopted to curtail tax evasion.

Jah was briefed on the present status of the revenue figures and the staff ensured him that the revenue target will be achieved.

The collector expressed satisfaction on the performance of the staff and asked them to carry out the same advancement towards the revenue collection.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue-FBR Nisar Muhammad Khan in his recent visit has also taken briefing about the revenue recovery of the Collectorates and also directed the authorities concerned to speed up the performance in connection with revenue collection and also taken effective measures in connection with tax evasion and mis-declaration.
