PESHAWAR: To assess the pace of developmental work at the Aza Khail Dry Port, Collector Customs KP Qurban Ali Khan and Senior Customs Officers of Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar visited the construction site of a dry port at Aza Khel.
High ranking officers of railways and customs were also present on the occasion. The railways authorities briefed the collector on the proposed development works of the project.
The collector also ordered the authorities concerned to take some valuable steps for further improvement in the under-construction building project of the Aza Khail Dry Port.
Collector Qurban Ali said that Aza Khail Dry Port will reduce the burden on Peshawar Dry Port and facilitate the importers to clear their goods with due facilities. He added that they want to facilitate the business community who are playing an active role in the revenue generation for the country.
The current visit of the collector was part of the campaign to improve the performance of the customs and dry ports in all over the province and FATA.
Earlier, the collector visited the Peshawar Dry Port and vowed to resolve the problems of the importers.
