Collector Reza assigns duties to settle issues of importers, exporters

SIALKOT: Customs Collector Ahmed Reza Khan has assigned duties to officers to settle complaints and other matters of exporters and importers on daily basis.

As per the details, Deputy Collector Waheed Anwar Abro will listen to the complaints on Monday and Tuesday, Deputy Collector Muhammad Hanif on Wednesday and Thursday and Assistant Collector Chaudhary Fahad Bashir will listen to complaints on Friday. If any officer goes on leave, the other officer will have to listen to the complaints of the community.

All the said officers will be authorised to solve the complaints and other matters of exporters and importers on merit, officials said, adding that the collector has decided to solve the issues of traders related to customs department on early basis in order to facilitate the process of import and export through Sialkot region.

The officials informed that the deputy collectors and assistant collector have started guiding the traders on their issues and their solutions, adding that the department was ever ready to cooperate with the businessmen community in order to generate maximum revenue. All genuine issues of traders will be resolved on merit under the customs law.
