Collector Sadiq meets with participants of senior management course

FAISALABAD: The Collector Muhammad Sadiq held a detailed discussion with a delegation of senior management course participants. The participants are visiting at dry port Faisalabad for briefing on customs working, functions and operational aspects concerned with the public service delivery..

During their visit Deputy Collector Usman Tariq, Rana Falik Shair, Assistan Collector Samad Hamdani and Faisalabad Dry Port General Manager Muhammad Amir and members of managing committee were also present.

Collector Muhammad Sadiq said that the Collectorate of Customs Faisalabad was established in 1965, the jurisdiction was districts of Jhang, Mianwali, Sargodha, Chiniot, Sara-e-Muhajir, Khushab, Faisalabad and areas of jurisdiction.

During his presentation the Collector said that Faisalabad Collectorate has numbers of human force including BS-20, BS-19, BS-18, 17 and 16 as for as sepoys and other ranks adding that main function of the Collectorate is to optimize revenue collection as far as to facilitate legitimate trade and to curb the menace of smuggling.

The Collector said that Collectorate have three major Customs stations as Faisalabad Dry port Air (FDPT), Air Freight Unit (AFU), Anti Smuggling Organization, Muhammad Sadiq told in his presentation regarding major imports and exports via dry port and AFU Faisalabad. He also throws light on Annual target assigned by Federal Board of Revenue to Faisalabad during FY2017-18.

He said that Collectorate had enhanced anti smuggling efforts, increased number of staff and vehicles adding that the Customs Collectorate is also inducted fresh human resources where as the Collectorate made a liaison with Motorway Police, National Highway Authority and local police for joint seizers.

Collector Muhammad sadiq will also hold a luncheon in honor of visiting delegation. at the end of meeting the shield.
