Collector Saleem deputes Grade-19 officer at KICT to facilitate trade

KARACHI: Collector of Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-West Muhammad Saleem has deputed a Grade-19 additional collector (ADC) at the Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) to ensure smooth flow of trade.

According to details, Collector Saleem has assigned ADC Muhammad Nayyar Shafiq to look after the trade affairs at the terminal.

Sources told Customs Today that the process of examination and other issues related to KICT have been improved after the induction of ADC. They also said that the collector has taken the decision to resolve the issues importers and traders face during examination of their consignments at the terminal.

ADC Nayyar Shafiq is assisted by Usman Tariq and Marium Khanji at the KICT.

Collector MCC Appraisement-East Najeebur Rehman Abbasi has already deployed an ADC at the PICT to resolve issues of the trade bodies. ADC Muhammad Tahir and Deputy Collector Rizwan Bashir are looking after the issues linked with trade at the PICT.
