It collected duty taxes during 9 am to 12:30 Pm on Friday and National Banks did not collect any duty taxes on Saturday due to their official holiday.

The current timing of the National Bank Multan for depositing of duty taxes is inconvenient for the importers who deposit duty taxes after the completion of examination and assessment in WeBOC system generally after 2 pm. Therefore importers have to wait till the next date for the depositing their duty taxes.

Collector Customs has requested National Bank of Pakistan, Dry Port Trust Branch to extend their timing up to 6 Pm for collection of duty taxes payment in cash from importers.

It was also observed that importers face issues at the time of depositing their taxes in the National Bank of Pakistan Multan Dry Port Trust Branch and importers have also complained Multan Customs Collectorate about timing issues. Sometimes National Bank Branch also refuses to accept pay orders of duty taxes for depositing on the last day of the month with a reason  that the amount of these pay orders cannot be remitted on the last day.
