ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Adjudication Collector Seema Raza Bukhari has ordered seizure of a Nissan sports car of model 2006 with bogus registration number DGA-756.
The car was seized from Commercial Market Rawalpindi and Muhammad Shaukat s/o Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Railway Scheme 9 Chaklala, was driving the car. He could not produce the documents regarding the legal import of the vehicle.
A letter was written to ETO/MRA Jafarabad for confirmation, but the car turned to be not registered. A show-cause notice was issued to Shaukat, but he did not reply. The adjudication collector has given decision to seize the car under Customs Act 1969, SRO 2009 and Import Export Control Act 1950.
