Collector Seema organizes ceremony to appreciate staff for achieving revenue targets

ISLAMABAD: Collector Seema Raza Bokhari organized a function in honor of staff and officers of the Collectorate for achieving the targets within the assigned period.

According to details, Islamabad Collectorate’s both stations i.e. Air Freight Unit and Islamabad Dry Port contributed in the realization of this success by attaining their respective targets. In this regard the MCC Islamabad held an in-house ceremony to acknowledge the contribution of staff in realization of annual targets of the Collectorate.

Addressing the gathering, Collector Seema Raza said that the Collectorate has achieved target of customs duty and other taxes assigned by the FBR for the financial year 2018-19 while the Chief Collector Customs North Asif Mehmood Jah appreciated the overall efforts of MCC Islamabad with a special note of appreciation for the Collectorate.

The Collector of Customs Islamabad Seema Raza Bokhari while speaking to the officers and staff appreciated their struggle, hard work and performance in achieving the targets. She lauded their hard work and hoped that they will continue such efforts with same zeal and enthusiasm in the next financial year.

Telling the details, she said that Islamabad Collectorate during the month of June 2019 has not only achieved rather surpassed its assigned target of Rs 882 million under head of Customs Duty by collecting more than Rs 946.95 million.

Similarly under the head of sales tax an amount of Rs 11153.57 million was collected against target of Rs9041 million while against total target of duty & taxes of Rs21557 million, the Collectorate was able to collect revenue to the tune of Rs25329.11 million. The Collectorate generated revenue to the tune of Rs25329.11 million exceeding the assigned target by Rs3772.11 million which is 118% of the assigned target, thus MCC Islamabad has played a major role in revenue collection of the Customs North Region, Seema Raza concluded.
