Collector Seema Raza forms special vigilance cell to enhance performance of Customs NIIA

ISLAMABAD: Collectorate of Customs Collector Seema Raza Bokhari has constituted a vigilance cell comprising eight customs staffers of Islamabad Collectorate to get information about tax evasion and smuggling at NIIA.

Sources told Customs Today that the Collector established a dedicated vigilance cell comprising Superintendents Raja Jamil, Rashid Saeed, Azeem Manzoor Appraising Officer, Sibtain Haider, Ejaz Ahmad, Inspectors Muhammad Saleem and Munir Afzal.

The sources informed that the vigilance cell shall perform the tasks as to collect and allocate meaningful and workable information and intelligence in the field about evasion of customs duties and smuggling of contraband goods including narcotics.

Sources told that the vigilance cell has to maintain close liaison with the PRV areas section of Collectorate for keeping the current consignments of known defaulters under scrutiny. Sharing of information with Deputy Collector headquarters at MCC Islamabad would be made to handle special information and assigned tasks by Customs Collector Islamabad.
