Collector Zulfiqar Younis Preventive appoints 29 new spoyes

LAHORE: At least 29 new sepoyes have been appointed in the collectorate of Customs Preventive, sources said on Thursday.

As per details, the collectorate has offered the posts of sepoyes to 27 male and 2 female candidates and all the candidates have given their joining at the collectorate.

The official sources said that all the candidates have been selected by the Departmental Selection Committee (DCC) on temporary basis. The candidates have been allowed to draw pay in BPS- 5 and other allowances as permissible under the rules.

It was stated that the spoyes have been appointed for one year extendable under Civil Servant Act 1973.  The newly appointed spoyes have been informed that they will have to appear in physical test and undertake training for the completion of probation period, the sources said , adding that in case the candidates fails to pass physical test and combat training they will be terminated from the job.

The spoyes were told that their services will be transferred anywhere in Pakistan. The spoyes were told that they will be governed under the relevant rules of federal government as applicable to the officers of your category in respect of all matters of service.

The new appointees were also informed that their jobs can be terminated in accordance with section 11 of the of the Services Act.

The candidates were told that if they accept the conduction, they must have report to the office of Customs Lahore preventive immediately but not later the seven days of the issuance of the letter.

The collectorate also offered the candidates who gave joining TA DAs from their place to the office at the Customs House Nabha Road.

The Federal Board of Revenue has invited candidates for a number of post in various departments of Customs and FBR in order to recruitment on the vacant post.
