To a query, the officer said that none of the officials are interested to work in the Adjudication Collectorate and want immediate transfer to other collectorates.

He appealed the authorities concerned of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to take notice of the prevailing situation, so that the working of the Adjudication Collectorate would also make an impression of efficiency at the administrative level.

When contacted, some of the affected parties including importers and other stakeholders confirmed this scribe that they were getting the show-cause notices served by the Collectorate of Adjudication through computerised system timely. However, they have been facing difficulties in case of appearing in person, as no one is there to entertain them at clerk level due to shortage of staff in the Collectorate.
