Collectorate’s auction fetches Rs6.41m to treasury

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad held a public auction of various kinds of confiscated goods at state warehouse G-11 Islamabad. The collectorate has earned Rs6.41million income through auction.

According to Deputy Collector Auction Aniqua, the auction has brought some handsome revenue to national exchequer. The auctioneers had deposited 25% out of total worth of the lots they purchased through auction.

The Customs Department organized the auction of dismantled vehicles and goods. About half of the goods has been sold which comprise cosmetics, ladies fabric, gents fabric, LED TVs, welding rods, split ACs, old and new auto parts, black tea, crockery, iron pads locks, polyester floor mats, dismantled vehicles (Toyota Corolla models 1968, 1987, 1988, 1990), (dismantled vehicles as Toyota Hiace model 1990) and other miscellaneous goods.

The auction was organized by Alvi Auctioneers under the supervision of customs staff of the MCC Islamabad.
