KARACHI: The Collectorates of MCC-Preventive, MCC-Hyderabad, MCC-Exports, MCC-Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim), MCC-Quetta and MCC-Gwadar of Enforcement (South-Region) have collected an amount of Rs 3113.49 million in share of Custom Duty altogether during the month of May,2015 against its set target of Rs 2783.23 million with an increase of Rs 330.26 million.
According to details, the MCC-Preventive has collected Rs 2297.33 million in terms of Custom Duty in the month of May. 2015 against its set target of Rs 1756.06 million with an increase of Rs 541.27 million.
The MCC-Hyderabad has collected an amount of Rs 336.46 million in share of Custom Duty in the month of May-2015 against its set target of Rs 672.17 million with a shortfall of Rs 335.71 million.
The MCC-Exports has collected an amount of Rs 409.96 million in share of Custom Duty in the month of May 2015 against the set target of Rs 543.31 million with a shortfall of Rs 133.35 million.
The Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim) has collected an amount of Rs 4.97million in the month of May,2015 in share of Custom Duty against its set target of Rs 382.74 million with a massive shortfall of Rs 377.37 million.
Furthermore, the MCC-Quetta has collected an amount of Rs 132.21 million in share of Custom Duty in the month of May,2015 against its set target of Rs129.61 million with an increase of Rs 1.26 million.
Meanwhile, the MCC-Gwadar has collected an amount of Rs 315.34 million in share of Customs Duty in the month of May-, 2015 against its set target of Rs 64.82 million with a massive increase of Rs 250.52 million.
The sources further informed Customs Today that the revenue collection in terms of Customs Duty during the month of May, 2015 has been sent to the FBR Headquarters for further study.
The sources further informed that the Chief Collector-Enforcement (South) Muhammad Nazim Saleem has expressed his satisfaction over the revenue collection in share of Custom Duty by the authorities concerned of MCC-Preventive , MCC-Quetta and MCC-Gwadar in the month of May-2015 and asked the authorities concerned of MCC-Hyderabad, MCC-Exports and MCC-Exports (Port Muhammad Bin Qasim) to speed up the revenue collection in terms of Customs Duty and ensure achieving the revenue target set by the FBR in terms of Customs Duty.
It is pertinent to mention here that the MCC-Preventive, MCC-Gwadar and MCC-Quetta have successfully achieved and surpassed the set target in share of Customs Duty in the month of May-2015.; adding that those three Collectorates were also surpassed the Custom Duty target in the previous months as well.
It may be mentioned here that the all six Collectorates of Enforcement (South) collect Customs Duty amounting to Rs 2217.34 million against target of Rs 2335.12 million with a shortfall of Rs 117.78 million in the previous month i.e. April, 2015.
