WASHINGTON: Combined coal stocks at China’s major Bohai Sea ports totaled 11.604 million mt as of April 24, up by 259,000 mt or 2.3% on week, port operator Qinhuangdao Port said Monday. Qinhuangdao port held 4.51 million mt of coal, followed by Jingtang port with 2.90 million mt, Tianjin port with 2.134 million mt, and Caofeidian port with 2.06 million mt.
Coal stocks at Qinhuangdao, Jingtang and Tianjin ports had risen week on week, Qinhuangdao Port said, without giving specific changes. Stocks at Caofeidian port, however, slipped from the previous week. The number of vessels queuing at the four ports totaled 37 on April 24, down from 50 a week ago, Qinhuangdao Port said.
