Commerce minister in Bahrain to attend business moot

ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Engineer Khurram Dastgir on Saturday reached Kingdom of Bahrain to attend the maiden conference on business opportunities between Pakistan and Bahrain.

On his arrival, the minister was received by Pakistan’s Ambassador in Bahrain Javed Malik along with Nader Khalil Almoayyed, Under Secretary Commerce and other senior officials of the embassy.

Being organized by Ambassador Javed Malik on September 25, the conference would be jointly chaired by Minister Khurram Dastgir and his Bahraini counterpart, said a message received here. This is for the first time that such a grand event is being held in the Kingdom which shows strong bilateral ties between two brotherly countries, the ambassador said.

According to Bahrain News Agency, around 350 guests including government officials, investors and businessmen from Pakistan and Bahrain would attend the opening ceremony. The conference would provide a rare opportunity to investors and businessmen of both sides to discuss the potential areas of two-way investments, bilateral trade and expansion of existing commercial ties.
