KARACHI: Commercial importers are concerned about the valuation ruling in customs. Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA) Chairman Haroon Nisar showed grave concerns over the valuation ruling.
He demanded that customs must conduct minimum two-day hearing for valuation cases. He added that the prices of import items shown in the valuation guideline were not same as international prices, due to which importers were facing a huge loss. In the international market, prices are down by 50 percent, while customs are not ready to revise the prices, he said.
