Commissioner Aftab Alam’s zone collects Rs 72.14m in 3 weeks

FAISALABAD: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) Zone-III of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 72.14 million under the head of sales tax during the first three weeks of May 2016.

Commissioner Aftab Alam said that the current collection stood at Rs 56.12 million while it recovered Rs 16.02 million in the wake of arrears during the said period.

In shape of current collection, the unit-I of the zone collected Rs 32.50 million, unit-II Rs 20.54 million, unit-III Rs 1.66 million and unit-IV has collected Rs 1.43 million, he said.

He added that unit-I recovered Rs 2.27 million, unit-II Rs 11.45 million and the unit-III collected Rs 2.29 in wake of arrears during the said period.

Responding to a question, Commissioner Aftab Alam said that department was striving to collect taxes and outstanding amounts from the taxpayers in order to meet the assigned annual target by the end of running fiscal year.
