Commissioner for streamlining revenue record on modern lines

BAHAWALPUR: Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Saqib Zafar Wednesday directed the District Coordination Officers of the three districts ofr division to increase pace of rapid computerization of revenue record which would ensure streamlining of the revenue record on modern scientific lines.

Computerization of revenue record would protect economic rights of the citizens. He issued these directions while presiding over a video link conference held at his conference room to review the ongoing land record management information system.

The meeting was attended by DCO Bahawalpur Dr. Ehtisham Anwer Mahaar, Additional Commissioner Consolidation Saqib Ali Ateel and Additional Commissioner Coordination Syed Waseem Hassan while DCO Rahim Yar Khan Zafar Iqbal and DCO Bahawalnagar Azhar Hayat participated through video link.

The meeting was briefed that as many as 6441 cases of land mutation, 728 cases of assigned share of revenue and 371 cases of missing record of land mutation were resolved in the three districts of the division during last month.

The revenue cases decided include 202 cases of assign share of revenue, 2815 cases of land mutation and 257 cases of missing documents of land mutation in district Bahawalpur, 117 cases of assign share of revenue, 1242 cases of land mutation and 113 cases of missing documents of land mutation in district Rahim Yar Khan and 409 cases of assign share of revenue and 2384 cases of land mutation in district Bahawalnagar.

Saqib Zafar directed the concerned officials of land record management information system to extend comfortable sitting facilities and took special measures to provide drinking water to the visitors at land record management information centers in the three districts of the division.

“All available resources should be put into place to effectively operationalize the one window operation at these centers to ensure state of the art facilities to the visitors”, the Commissioner directed.
