MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has given powers to commissioner Inland Revenue of the Regional Tax office (RTO) Multan to select taxpayer’s cases for audit.
The FBR has conferred discretionary powers to commissioner Inland Revenue of the Regional Tax Offices for the selection of audit cases. Now the Commissioner Inland Revenue will select minimum 5-20 percent cases of national taxpayers.
These selected tax cases from FBR for audit will be concluded in specific time period by commissioner Inland Revenue.
The FBR will introduce a special procedure for the taxpayers to conduct their precise forensic audit in order to ensure transparency.
Special audit will eliminate the flaws in the audit while controversial audit cases will be resolved according to new mechanism.
