ATHENS: The Greece government statics shows that the consolidated property tax, ENFIA, will not be collected this year. The widely unpopular ENFIA was targeted by Greece’s new Government. A government spokesperson, Gavriil Sakellaridis, went as far as saying the tax will not be collected in the current year, ahead of it being abolished altogether.
He said that it will be replaced by a tax on larger properties. ENFIA has proven controversial since its introduction, not least after thousands of taxpayers were sent hugely over-inflated bills in error last year.
