LAHORE: The Lahore High Court issued a notice to the chairman FBR on a petition of contempt of court and ordered to file the answer within two weeks.
Reportedly, Justice Shahid Wahid heard the case filed by Inland Revenue Officer Naeem Babar. The petitioner prayed that he had filed a petition for his promotion on which the LHC decided the case in his favor. But instead of following the court’s judgment, the chairman FBR promoted junior officers and did not promoted him.
The petitioner said that the act of the chairman FBR is impugned and mala fide. He pleaded that the chairman FBR is accused of contempt of court and must be held answerable for it.
