Contempt notice: LHC seeks reply from FBR within two weeks

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court issued a notice to the chairman FBR on a petition of contempt of court and ordered to file the answer within two weeks.

Reportedly, Justice Shahid Wahid heard the case filed by Inland Revenue Officer Naeem Babar. The petitioner prayed that he had filed a petition for his promotion on which the LHC decided the case in his favor. But instead of following the court’s judgment, the chairman FBR promoted junior officers and did not promoted him.
