SAN JOSE: Costa Rica’s coffee exports during the 2015/2016 harvesting season totaled 1.24 million 60-kg bags, up 7 percent compared with the previous cycle, the country’s national coffee institute ICAFE said on Monday.
Coffee exports during the previous 2014/2015 season reached 1.16 million bags. Shipments in September, the last month of the season, were up 31.2 percent at 49,679 bags compared with the same month last year, ICAFE said.
