SAN JOSÉ: Prisoners in Costa Rica have roped in some feathered friends to get their hands on drugs.
Guards at La Reforma Penitentiary, on the outskirts of San Jose, busted a drug carrying pigeon in one of the patios of the prison.
The bird had a zip-up bag strapped to its belly, in which they found 14 grams of cocaine and 14 grams of marijuana.
The news quickly sparked much social media merriment, including a fake news alert that they pigeons were threatening to take over San Jose.
