KARACHI: Cotton prices declined in thin trade on Saturday, as traders remained on the sidelines, dealers said.
Trading activity remained sluggish as 400 bales changed hands in the markets of Sindh as prices hovered at Rs6,100 permaund. The Karachi Cotton Association revised down the official spot rate by Rs50 to Rs5,900/maund (37.324 kilograms). Dealers said that underlying sentiments remained dull and many spinners hold their positions in the wake of short supplies of commodity by the ginners.
