KARACHI: The trade in local market of cotton decreased by about 50 per cent to 10,600 bales (of 155kg each), mainly due to completion of Eid buying by the majority of textile millers.

The Karachi Cotton Association has kept its official price unchanged for the eighth working day at Rs4,700 per maund. The New York cotton market fell to seven-and-half month low on concerns to slowing world economic growth.
