JHANG: A special counter has been set up at Land Record Centres in every Tehsil headquarters to provide interest free loans to the farmers in Punjab.
This was stated by Agriculture Officer Technical Muhammad Talha Sheikh. He said Rs25,000 and Rs40,000 per acre for Rabi and Kharif crops respectively were being given to every farmer under the supervision of deputy director and assistant director agriculture. He said every land owner, tenant or land contractor could get interest free agriculture loans. He said the staff of every land record centre had been directed to complete registration of farmers on priority bases.
