GEORGIA:The Polk County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2015 Polk County Small Business Expo in the Cedar town Civic Auditorium, located at 205 East Avenue.More than 30 businesses are scheduled to set up and display their goods and/or services.Prior to Butler’s appearance, attendees can take their seats in the auditorium for a musical presentation by Scarlet Wool.
Tamaka Hudson, executive director of the Polk County Chamber, said this year’s speaker would provide an opportunity to get fresh information concerning the struggles and, more importantly, the triumphs of being an entrepreneur and small business owner.Gigi’s Cupcakes, which started with a first location in Nashville, has spread across the south with franchise locations.
The business went from opening on Butler’s personal finances in 2008 to $43 million in sales in 2013.Expo tickets are $5 per person, which gives access to the expo, music and guest speaker. Expo vendors have the option for a lunch with Butler during the afternoon.
