BRUSSELS: A plot by a couple attempting to transport a large amount of drugs from Belgium to Luxembourg was thwarted thanks to the nose of Skip the beagle sniffer dog on Friday morning.
Luxembourg customs had in fact been alerted that the foreign couple were arrested for drug trafficking the previous weekend.
As the car approached the Grand Duchy it was stopped by customs and Skip the Beagle was set to work.
It wasn’t long before the dog led officers to find no less than 2,000 ecstasy tablets, 13 grammes of cocaine and some marijuana hidden in the car.
The two culprits were both arrested and their car seized.
